Enter the #LivingWageWeek Competition!

It's the perfect opportunity to celebrate your Living Wage commitment with your staff in the run up to Living Wage Week 2023 – the yearly celebration of the Living Wage movement. The most original team picture will win a bundle of Living Wage Employer goodies, as well as a promotional package tailored to your business from the Living Wage Foundation’s communications team. Find out how to take part below.

What is the #LivingWageWeek Competition? 

We’ve launched a competition for Living Wage Employers to see who can create the best team picture celebrating the Living Wage movement. Any accredited Living Wage Employer can enter. All you need is your team, a passion for the real Living Wage, and a bit of creativity.  

Challenge Accepted? Here's how you can get involved:

  • To enter, you must: 

  • Post a Living Wage-themed picture of your team on one or more of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn.  

  • The picture must be posted during Living Wage Week, between the 6th and 12th November 2023.

  • The post must be tagged #LivingWageWeek.   

  • The entrant must be following the Living Wage Foundation on the platform they use to enter.     

How will the winner be decided? 

The winner will be picked by a team of internal judges and announced on Monday 27th November 2023. The judges will consider various criteria such as creativity, team involvement, and relevance to the Living Wage theme. 

Need some inspiration? Here are a few ideas... 

Could you use take the picture in a unique setting? Perhaps in your factory or shop, or even in front of a local landmark? Can you involve a giant logo perhaps? Can you get creative with your team’s poses or outfits? Could you use our logo colours? Think out of the box! We want to spotlight your team’s passion for the Living Wage and celebrate the growth of the Living Wage movement all together.  

When does the competition close?  

The competition is now open, closing at 23:59 on Sunday 12th November 2023. After this date no further entries to the competition will be accepted.  

What is the prize? 

  • The winner will receive: 

  • A bundle of Living Wage Employer goodies.  

  • A promotional support package tailored to your business from the Living Wage Foundation communications team.

Terms and Conditions of the Living Wage Week Competition 2023

  1. The promoter is: The Living Wage Foundation (Charity No. 1107264) whose registered office is at [Jacquard Point 1 and 3, Tapestry Way, London, E1 2FJ].  
  2. The competition is open only to accredited Living Wage businesses in the United Kingdom and their workers aged 18 years or over.  

  3. Employees of the Living Wage Foundation and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition are not permitted to enter.  

  4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. 
  5. By entering this competition, the entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
  6. There is no limit to the number of entries accepted per Living Wage Employer. 
  7. Opening date for entry is 00:01 on Monday 6th November 2023. Closing date for entry will be 23:59 on Sunday 12th November 2023. After this date no further entries to the competition will be counted.   

  8. No responsibility can be accepted by the promoter for entries not received for whatever reason.  

  9. To enter the competition, you must post a creative picture of Living Wage employees celebrating the Living Wage. Pictures must be uploaded to at least one of the following social media platforms: Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn. The post must contain the hashtag #LivingWageWeek. The business entering must also be following the Living Wage Foundation on the platform they use to enter.   

  10. Winner(s) will be chosen by an internal panel of judges who will consider various criteria such as creativity, team involvement, and relevance to the Living Wage theme. 

  11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.   

  12. The promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. 

  13. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition. 

  14. The prize is as follows:   
    (1) A bundle of Living Wage Employer goodies and (2) a promotional support package tailored to your business from the Living Wage Foundation communications team. 
    The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.   

  15. The winner(s) will be announced on Monday 27th November 2023 and notified within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner(s) cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner(s) and pick a replacement winner(s).   

  16. The promoter will notify the winner(s) when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.   

  17. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.   

  18. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.   

  19. The winner(s) agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner(s) or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.   

  20. By entering this competition, you agree to your entry and any images or videos you submit to be used in any future Living Wage Foundation marketing materials. 

  21. The winner(s)’s name will be available 28 days after the closing date by emailing the following address: klervi.mignon@livingwage.org.uk.   

  22. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network.
