Representatives of over 150 accredited London Living Wage Employers came together to celebrate the growth of the Living Wage network at an event this week marking the progress of the London Living Wage campaign.
At the event - which was hosted by KPMG LLP as Principal Partners of the Living Wage Foundation - Deputy Mayor Kit Malthouse congratulated the Living Wage Foundation on the remarkable growth in the number of Living Wage Employers.
Mr Malthouse thanked the accredited employers for their fantastic leadership and expressed his commitment to working with the Living Wage Foundation to encourage more organisations in the retail and hospitality sectors in particular to become Living Wage Employers.
The group also heard from community leaders who thanked the businesses in the room for making the decision to pay the Living Wage, and expressed the hope that more employers would follow them.
Other speakers included representatives from Clear Channel, who received their Living Wage Employer Plaque on stage, Canary Wharf Group PLC, who set out their long term commitment to the Living Wage, and KPMG, who reflected on supporting the Living Wage Foundation over the past nine years.
