Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson celebrated Living Wage Week 2014, a national week recognising the Living Wage, by visiting Accredited Living Wage Employer Peterborough Citizens Advice Bureau.
At the moment the Citizens Advice Bureau is one of only two organisations to commit to the Living Wage accreditation in Peterborough.
Stewart Jackson is hosting a Living Wage conference later in the month and is leading the charge to increase the number of accredited employers in Peterborough.
The conference will be taking place on Friday 21st November 2014 from 10am at the Salvation Army Citadel at Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough. More information is available here.
Living Wage Foundation Director, Rhys Moore said:
We have accredited almost 1,000 leading employers, ranging from independent printers, hairdressers and breweries, to well-known companies such as Nationwide, Aviva and SSE. These businesses recognise that the Living Wage is good for business. I would like to send a huge well done to both Peterborough Citizens Advice Bureau and MP Stewart Jackson for showing such brilliant leadership on this issue.
