This Living Wage Week we're delighted to announce an event we're co-hosting in a new collaboration with Efficient Consumer Response, a European trade body. On Tuesday 4th November we're running an all-day programme focused on staff engagement and productivity in the retail sector.
This exciting event - held in the Goodenough College, central London - will feature a key note address from MIT Professor Zeynep Ton, who has spent the last ten years researching the key operating principles that enable companies to successfully compete while paying higher wages in some of the most competitive markets in the world.
The workshop is based on the research conducted in the report "Making the Link: The Role of Employee Engagement in Controlling Retail Losses" and aims to build upon theory laid out within the report so that during the workshop the audience learn practical ways in which to use these.
The event will also see a speech from Mike Kelly, Chair of the Living Wage Foundation, on productivity gains specifically associated with introducing the Living Wage and the release of a new report from the ECR documenting how employee engagement can work to increase sales and reduce losses.
The programme will be heavily interactive and feature input from some of the leading authorities concerning pay, productivity and employee engagement worldwide. Tickets are £390 per person and include lunch and refreshments.
